If you are a great Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system expert who can enthuse a wide range of people about the power of data to help restore our natural world, we have an exciting new role for you at one of the UK’s best-loved nature charities.

As CRM Insights Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the work of The Wildlife Trusts by ensuring that we transform the way we manage and use supporter data. You will work collaboratively with various teams across the federation of Wildlife Trusts to identify data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs, bringing multiple stakeholders onboard as you do so.

You will help drive forward the development of our CRM system (Access Charity CRM) and provide ongoing, expert database support across the marketing, communication and campaigning functions within the central charity, The Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts. This new role will also be integral in ensuring we can make the most of the system and build a community of practice of CRM experts within the wider Wildlife Trusts federation.

Using your expertise in data analysis and reporting, you will provide insights into supporter behaviour and engagement, and identify trends and patterns that will drive business decisions, engaging senior leaders in the power of people data. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to make a significant impact on the work of The Wildlife Trusts.

Who we are

We are a grassroots movement of 46 independent Wildlife Trusts, supported by a central charity, The Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts. We have more than 900,000 members, 35,000 volunteers and 3,000 staff across the UK. We are at an exciting moment in our 110-year history, with an ambitious new strategy setting out a vision of nature in recovery, with abundant, diverse wildlife and natural processes creating wilder landscapes where people and nature thrive.

The next 10 years will be critical in determining what kind of world we will all live in. We need to urgently reverse the loss of wildlife and put nature into recovery at scale if we are to prevent climate and ecological disaster. This will require big, bold changes in the way we think and operate, and the development of a strong, collaborative culture. It will require an increase in collaboration and working together, underpinned by strong systems and data.

About you

As CRM Insights Manager you will be responsible for managing and analysing supporter data within our CRM system to drive business decisions. To excel in this role, you should be highly motivated and detail-oriented with a passion for data management and analysis. You will have experience in a data management role within a CRM focused environment. Ideally you will also have experience of working within or closely with a marketing and communications or campaigns team.

You should have a strong understanding of data management and quality control procedures, as well as experience with CRM data analysis and reporting. Ideally, you will have experience in the analysis of complex datasets using a range of methods, including RFM and multivariate modelling, and machine learning.

You will work closely with various teams across the individual Wildlife Trusts and the central team, including membership, fundraising, volunteering, marketing, IT, campaigning and development, to ensure that data is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You should also have a strong understanding of GDPR and data privacy regulations to always ensure compliance with best practice.

If you are a problem solver with a can-do attitude and a desire to investigate and get it right, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to become our CRM Insights Manager.
